including VPP. It provides an easy way to search for local volunteer

region's eleven volunteer centers. Over 25,000 local nonprofits
are profiled.

The USA Freedom Corps is a coordinating council housed at the White
House and chaired by President George W. Bush that works to strengthen
our culture of service and help find opportunities for every American
to start volunteering. The USA Freedom Corps website has a searchable
database of national volunteer opportunities. This database is powered
by Network for Good, one of the members of the USA Freedom Network,
along with America's Promise, Idealist, the Points of Light Foundation,
The United Way, VolunteerMatch, National Mentoring Partnership,
and SERVEnet, each of which represent thousands of organizations
using volunteer services to meet important community needs.
